Structured CPL Hour Building
Helping you make the most of your time...Many see Hour Building as a “necessary evil”, or a “hoop to jump through”, in order to reach their goal of starting a course of training for their Commercial Pilot Licence.
Here at Horizon Aviation, however, we believe that it should be seen as an opportunity to hone the skills required to successfully pass the CPL as efficiently as possible. With one of our Structured Hour Building Packages, you can do just that by building your experience under the supervision and guidance of our Instructors:
Avoid developing bad habits that will hamper your future progress
Ensure you are well-prepared for all aspects of Commercial training
Increase your chances of completing the CPL in minimum possible hours
Learn new skills (and gain new ratings) that will make you a better pilot
Save money: just one hour of additional CPL training on a multi-engine aircraft could cost over £500!

Licence
The CPL Hour Building programme is designed for those looking to become a professional pilot through the so-called “modular” route. Therefore, you must hold an EASA Private Pilot Licence in order to begin. For more information on our EASA PPL course, click here. If you already hold another licence and need to convert to a “full” PPL, click here to find out about our licence conversion courses.
Medical
If your ambition is to become a professional pilot, you must be able to pass an EASA Class 1 medical. Although it is not a requirement to hold this level of medical before undertaking your actual CPL training, we strongly recommend that you satisfy yourself of your medical fitness before investing in any training towards it. Please visit the UK CAA Website for more information.
